I received my copy of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard today. It’s so awesome! It’s like having a new mac. The new features are incredible. I especially love the new Spaces app which gives you multiple virtual desktops support. I haven’t tried the Time Machine yet. My plan is to purchase a new external hard drive to use with it.I also bought iLife ’08. I mostly use iPhoto and am starting to use iWeb. Both these apps have a ton more features in this version than in the previous version.
I’ll continue to play around with these new software titles and update you with any more thoughts I have later.

This labor day weekend I traveled to Cedar Mountain near Cedar City, UT. My family has a cabin that we built there. We’re still doing the finishing touches on it. It’s almost done!
I hitched a ride there and back with my sister Sharee and her family. They just bought a new car, a 2007 Subaru Outback. It’s way nice. It was a comfortable trip.
We worked on the fireplace chimney while we were there. The pipe came out of the side of the cabin and up through the roof. We boxed it in with wood and siding. It turned out really nice.
We also rode 4-wheelers. My dad and brother Rick each have a couple and my brother has a dune-buggy which is also fun to ride around. It’s really fast on straight aways. Two of my nieces kept me busy asking me every time I turned around to let them take me for a ride on a 4-wheeler. I didn’t mind though. It was fun.
I also started to teach my brother Steven how to solve the Rubik’s Cube. I have a tutorial I started to write here. I’m still working on it. The moves are all correct, I just need to redo the images.
Anyways, I can’t wait until I can go to the cabin again. I love spending time with my family. I don’t get to see them as often as I’d like to.

Last Saturday I went to watch Brian Regan’s comedy stand-up at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, UT. He was HILARIOUS!! I haven’t laughed so much in my entire life!
I went with some of my co-workers and their spouses. It was held outside at the Waterfall Amphitheater. My boss Bob arrived there early and saved a bunch of space right up front.
The funniest parts were when he messed up on a joke for one reason or another and had to improvise. He does an awesome job improvising.
I will definitely attend his stand-ups whenever he’s in town.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted here, so I thought I’d give an update on what’s been going on in my life lately.
For the 24th of July, a Utah holiday, I traveled to St. George to visit my family. We were supposed to all go up to our cabin on Cedar Mountain but a fire near Zion’s National Park threatened our property up there. My parents were up there at the time and were evacuated. So I just decided to visit St. George instead. It’s always nice to see family and friends.
My friend Ian and his family came up to see his wife’s parents off to their LDS mission. While they were up they stayed two nights at my house. They planned to go to Lagoon and invited me along. It was lots of fun! We went on the new roller-coaster, the Wicked, which shoots you straight up and then you fall straight down. My favorite ride, the Samurai, was closed.
But I still had a blast!
I, again, went to St. George last weekend. A few months back I found out that my right caliper in my car froze up, causing my left brake to wear down to the metal and ruin my rotor. I ended up having to replace my breaks and rotors. I didn’t replace my frozen caliper though, ’cause I couldn’t afford it. I replaced my brakes and rotors with the cheapest parts available, planning to have my brother Rick help me fix it all correctly later. Rick works at Big O Tires so he always hooks me up with parts and labor. What a great brother! Anyways…to make a long story short…I started hearing squeaking from my breaks and assumed that the same thing was happening again to my left break; thus my trip to St. George. Well, I ended up not having a problem yet, my breaks are fine. They were squeaking because they are the cheap parts. The trip wasn’t a total waste though, I got to visit my friends and family again.
Well, I feel like I’ve caught you all up to speed. The latter months of the year are always more eventful, having more holidays and all, so I plan on posting more frequently.

I went up to The Canyons ski resort in Park City, UT to watch the fireworks on the night of the 3rd with my friend Bernd and his wife Jodi and their friends. I enjoyed them. I captured the finale of them on video. You can watch it below.
The video is no longer available to view.

As you may have read, last week I broke my T-Mobile MDA by dropping it from a moving buggy. After that happened I was in the market for a new phone. I was considering two choices: Apple’s iPhone or the T-Mobile Wing. Both seemed really cool and, to be honest with you, I was leaning more towards the iPhone. But after some research and reading some reviews I came to a decision.
Both phones have their benefits, but after considering all I decided to go with the T-Mobile Wing.

Check out a great site to buy consumer electronics online at rvronlinestores.com.
My brother Rick runs it. It has products from many categories like Auto audio/video, Computers & Accessories, Entertainment & Home Theater, and many more…
If what you’re looking for isn’t on the site, let me know and I can get it on there for you or contact him through the link provided on the site and I’m sure he can accommodate you.

While in St. George I spent time with my two best friends Ian and Noah! We had a great lunch together at a mexican restaurant called Irmita’s. They have the best quesadillas in the world! Ian and I each had the quesadilla and Noah had a huge sandwich. It was yummy!

I own, or should I say owned, a T-Mobile MDA cell phone. It has the Windows Mobile 5 operating system on it. I love it! I’ve used it so much to keep track of my calendar events, birthdays, tasks, and to take notes among other things.
Well this weekend, while visiting my brother Steven, he took me for a short ride on his buggy he just bought. We just went down the street and back. In this short time, I managed to drop my MDA on the pavement. I didn’t realize I had though. It wasn’t until he brought me back and took my niece Shamara for a ride when they found it lying on the road in pieces.
I was pretty bummed when they brought it to me. I tried to look on the bright side right away though, saying that “I can now buy me the iPhone!” But, here a few days later, I’m coming to realize that I probably can’t afford Apple’s iPhone.
The MDA is now discontinued and replaced with the T-Mobile Wing. I thought I might get this one instead, but it too is pretty expensive so I probably won’t. I’m not sure what I’ll do at the moment. But I definitely need to do something, since I’ve come to rely on a smartphone.
